Directions to Covered Bridge Customs
From Rte. 30 or 283 (East/West) coming from the Harrisburg, Philadelphia or York areas, follow exit signs for Rte. 741 east to Millersville. Continue on 741 east to New Danville. At the second traffic signal in New Danville, you will pick-up Rte. 324 south without making any turns. Rte. 324 is locally named Marticville Road. From the traffic signal at Long Lane where Rte. 741 turns due east at that intersection, we are 3 1/2 miles South on the right-hand side of the road in a small community of mostly 1800's period homes. Thus, from Rte. 283 or 30, you make NO turns until you reach our driveway. It is a straight shot.
From Rte. 222 or 272 North of Lancaster near the Reading, PA area, follow either route south to Rte. 30 west, then follow the directions above. Rte. 30 (East/West) is the main highway that passes through Lancaster County on the north side of Lancaster City. We are located about 20-minutes from Rte. 30 due South - 12-minutes from Lancaster Center City - about 30-minutes from the Pennsylvania/Maryland border - 30 minutes from York, 45 minutes from Harrisburg and about an hour from Philadelphia (Chester County).
From Rte. 222 or 272 (North/South) in Southern Lancaster County or Maryland, follow 222 or 272 North toward Quarryville, the Buck or toward the town called Willow Street, and look for the intersection at Penn Grant Road before you reach Willow Street and make a left. You will head West on Penn Grant Road until you reach Rte. 324. Take a left onto 324 and head south until you come to Covered Bridge Customs and the Bowman residence on the right-hand side of the road, which is about 2 miles from Penn Grant Road. If you reach the small town of Marticville (Frogtown), you traveled 1/2 a mile too far.
The Bowman mailbox is black with flames painted upon it and there
is a small business sign mounted to the front porch post that is designed
like a Covered Bridge. Parking and the Entrance to the shop is in the rear
of Rick's home. Appointments are recommended.
