As a longtime commercial artist, I recently completed two airbrush scenes of an American flag and the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Wall. The scenes were painted on a Harley-Davidson trike conversion for a Vietnam veteran named Clement "Clem" Kneavel, of Airville, Pa.
What made this job so difficult wasn't only that the murals were very intricate. Clem was exposed to Agent Orange in Vietnam, and now has advanced liver cancer. Painting the scenes on the trike was one of Clem's final wishes, as this might very well be his last summer.
